28.07.2004 About expanding the contacts of the EC RATS SCO
On June-July 2004 the activity of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO was directed, first of all, to expanding the links with the relative international organizations. So, on June 28-30 this year the deputy Director of the EC RATS SCO, Djussoev V.V., took part in the meeting of leadership of the antiterrorist units of the CIC member countries and in a joint staff-command exercise "Zapad-Antiterror - 2004" in Kishinev city. The representatives of the Security and Special Services of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation and Ukraine were engaged in it. Djussoev V.V. also informed the participants about the tasks facing the RATS SCO, directions, forms and modalities of the RATS SCO co-operation with ATС (antiterrorist center of the CIC countries).
Besides, the EC RATS specialists participated in the International Red Cross' seminar (on June 22-24, 2004, town of Charvak, the Republic of Uzbekistan), dedicated to the issues of armed conflicts, during which the RATS SCO' point of view on problems fighting with terrorism, separatism and extremism was expressed.
Simultaneously, the work of strengthening contacts with the competent services of the SCO member countries was being done.
