05.07.2005 About meeting with the delegation of the Shanghai Institute of International Researches
On July 5 of the current year, by the request of the Institute of Strategic and Inter-Regional Researches under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan a meeting of the deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO, Mr. Dzhumanbekov D.K., with a delegation of the Shanghai Institute of International Researches led by the deputy Director of Institute, Van Sjaoshu, took place at the office of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO.
During the meeting an exchange of opinions about current situation in Central Asian region and in the SCO space, as well as new challenges and threats with terrorist, separatist and extremist feature to the SCO member states were made.
Van Sjaoshu highly estimated a role of the Anti-Terrorist Structure in fighting against international terrorism, providing security, peace and stability in Central Asian region.
