During the Summit of the Leaders of the SCO member states in July of the current year the Director of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO, Kasymov V.T., exchanged opinions with the Director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, Patrushev N.P., the Security Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahimov H.S., and National Security Committee Chairman of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dutbaev N.N., upon going on situation in Central Asian region, arising problem of fighting with terrorism, separatism and extremism.

On July 7, 2005, a working meeting of Kasymov V.T. with the first deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Council of the RATS SCO, Bozhko V.K., was held in which the issues of future activities of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure related to the tasks coming from the orders of the Leaders of the SCO member states during the Summit in July in Astana were considered. A number of issues concerning preparedness to forthcoming Council of the RATS SCO was also discussed.
